The main problem is that some ground displacements have occurred, due to the force of gravity and under the influence of certain factors such as water, tremors, excavations, the opening of trails, etc. They have caused great damage and have violated the terrain of this area.

The micro-basin is clogged by stones, mud, logs, which totally affects the flow of the Guadalajara river, which makes it practically impossible for the company to make the water drinkable because it is completely cloudy.

This situation is really worrisome for the community since water is essential and despite the fact that solutions have been sought, access to the clogging site is almost nil, which makes the situation even more difficult.

The constant and heavy rain has not only brought difficulties for that sector, but for the entire country, many people have even lost their homes.

Despite being a normal situation that tends to happen on several occasions and is characterized by causing more rain than normal to be generated, this past year 2022 certain irregularities have occurred with this phenomenon, such as the fact that it has lasted longer than normal.

All this also affects the municipality of Guadalajara de Buga directly, since on several occasions in recent weeks they have suspended the water service for up to 12 hours, a service that is essential for the community.

And as for the community of the corregimiento of Havana, in these last days of January 2023, it was seriously affected by the overflow of the river, several families lost their homes, due to these avalanches, many of the streets and houses were completely flooded by mud. To this day, the Buga community continues to provide the necessary aid to the corregimiento and to these families who lost everything.
